Matt Salmon's Venomous Attack On Arizona
Teachers? |
"Then, last week, GOP
gubernatorial candidate Matt Salmon called
the teachers union “a scourge on our
society.” He also sent a press release
announcing his response to a questionnaire
from the Arizona Education Association,
saying, “I hope that this statement answers
the final item in your questionnaire asking
what kind of ‘relationship’ I anticipate
having with the AEA as Arizona’s next
governor: A confrontational one.”" |

Matt Salmon Returns To Gubernatorial Arena,
Launches 2022 Campaign |
"Former Republican
Congressman Matt Salmon is running for
governor, looking to win the prize that
eluded him 20 years ago in one of Arizona’s
closest gubernatorial elections. “Today, the
Arizona values we cherish are under attack
from Washington and liberals here at home.
Open borders and closed classrooms, crushing
tax hikes and socialism, censorship and
cancel culture. The radical Democrats are
pushing the most far-left agenda in our
lifetime,” Salmon said in a press statement.
“We can’t allow liberal politicians to turn
Arizona into California. We must protect the
values that have made Arizona a beacon of
opportunity.” [...] In 2002, Salmon was the
GOP nominee for governor, falling short to
Democrat Janet Napolitano""* |

Matt Salmon Is Wrong To Turn Children Away |
"Rep. Matt Salmon has
introduced H.R. 5052, the "Expedited Family
Reunification Act," a shameful bill that
seeks to speed up the deportation of Central
American children to the countries they fled
because of wide-spread violence and fear.
Salmon's characterizes this bill as fixing
"loopholes" in the immigration system. He
portrays this as a compassionate act, aimed
to protect children, but that is deeply out
of touch with the reality." |

Is Congressman Matt Salmon Really Loving His
Gay Son While Working Against His Son’s
Rights? |
"The discussion was
sparked by an “It Gets Better” video by Matt
R. Salmon, a young gay man who expressed
deep pain and sadness over the fact that his
father, Rep. Matt J. Salmon (R-Ariz.), a
devout Mormon, does not support marriage
equality despite telling an Arizona TV
interviewer that he loves his son “more than
I can say.” The congressman not only said
that he doesn’t support “the gay marriage”
but has voted anti-gay, including voting for
the Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA), which he
still supports. Meanwhile, in 2006, his
wife, Nancy Salmon, actually headed a group
that spearheaded the hateful campaign in
Arizona to pass a ballot measure that would
have banned gay marriage, civil unions and
domestic partnerships." |
