Republican Darin Mitchell was a member of the Arizona House of Representatives, representing District 13. He assumed office on January 7, 2013. He left office on January 13, 2019. Mitchell ran for election to the Arizona House of Representatives to represent District 3. He lost in the Republican primary on August 2, 2022. He was first elected to the chamber in 2012 Mitchell had attracted criticism for sponsoring a bill that would have increased taxes by $584.6 million dollars (net) by taxing services such as childcare and funerals.
