Center for Arizona Policy 2016 Voter Guide

About the Voter Guide

The "Center for Arizona Policy" states that the "Guide is a nonpartisan educational resource" or a "An Impartial, Nonpartisan Look". It is neither. What the "Guide" is is an attempt to gather information that they, and their Director, use to push their agenda. Remember the movie "FOOTLOOSE"? Cathi Herrod is basically the Elmore City Council. Drinking, who you sleep with, what you believe, what you decide to do with your own body are some of the things Cathi Herrod and the CAP want to control. The CAP are a "nonprofit organization that "promotes and defends the foundational values of life, marriage and family, and religious freedom. "In 2014, the Arizona Republic noted Herrod's long history of influence in the state: "Without winning a vote, Herrod has for two decades powered the state’s social-conservative movement, pushing her agenda in the halls of the Capitol, at the ballot box, and always away from the spotlight."  The "Voter's Guide" is one of the main tools Mrs. Herrod uses to push her propaganda. 1) by saying the "Guide" is  "Impartial, and Nonpartisan". 2) by crafting the questions in such a way as to seem innocuous. 3) By trying to make it look like she has no idea why many refuse to play her game by refusing to answer the CAP questionnaire. In the Center for Arizona Policy's own words:

The Center for Arizona Policy is a non-profit research and education organization committed to strengthening the family and restoring traditional moral principles to the public policy and cultural arenas.  As part of a 50-state partnership associated with Focus on the Family, the Center works to:

1. Provide quality research and factual information to policy makers on vital issues affecting the family.

2. Equip concerned citizens and churches to be persuasive advocates for the family.

3. Be a voice for the family by communicating truth through the media.

We battle organizations like Planned Parenthood, the ACLU and gay rights groups that seek to destroy traditional families and traditional moral values. We have developed strong bonds with friends like Arizona Right to Life, Crisis Pregnancy Centers, Arizona Families for Home Education, Alliance Defense Fund, and many others including local churches.

CAP has been selected and endorsed by Dr. Dobson and Focus on the Family to be the Family Policy Council for Arizona. CAP is deeply grateful for Focus on the Family’s support through the provision of research, promotion, materials, prayers and guidance.

What you'll find here is the raw information taken from this years "Voter's Guide" minus the subterfuge. After an election these "Guides" are usually no longer available. We have been able to restore the information of the earlier issues with the hope this will be of use to you in pointing out the homophobes and bigots. Enjoy!
